What should I bring?

Your gear will depend on the season and the type of tour you are booking.

We always recommend being equipped with closed-toed shoes, sunglasses, a light jacket and of course a camera! Also do not forget your sunscreen!

For any of our winter tours, we ask our customers to bring proper winter gear and footwear; this includes proper warm waterproof winter boots, a winter jacket, gloves and a hat.

Should I arrive early?

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time, this will provide you with sufficient time to get situated and receive the required safety briefing before heading out on your adventure.

Can I bring a camera or cell phone?

We highly encourage you to bring your camera or use your cell phone to take pictures and videos of your trip. Only two things we ask of you if you are using a phone:

  1. Make sure you put your cell phone into airplane mode
  2. Tag us on social media with all your awesome pictures @RemoteHelicoptersLtd

What if the weather is bad?

Weather is one variable that we cannot control. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to cancel or rebook any flight due to weather conditions at no cost to the customer.

What is your cancelation policy?

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before your scheduled departure time will be refunded completely if unable to be rescheduled.

Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours prior to departure time will be charged a 20 percent cancellation fee. We would be more than happy to apply the cancellation fee towards a future booking.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled flight will be charged at full cost.

Customers who do not show up for the scheduled flight are being charged at the regular tour rate.

How old do you have to be to go in a helicopter?

There are no age restrictions to enjoy our helicopter tours.

We follow the same procedures as commercial air carriers. Children under the age of 2 will have to travel in the lap of a parent (proof of age required) or sit in an approved car seat for the duration of the flight.

Can I pick my seat?

Our priority is safety first. While we do try and accommodate requests as best as we can, our primary goal is to achieve the best weight and balance for the flight, therefore we cannot guarantee any requested seating configuration.

Why are you asking for my weight?

Passenger weights are used to determine maximum fuel load and aircraft performance. We ask that all customers provide accurate weight information.

Maximum weight limit per person is 300 lbs. Guests over the weight limit will be required to use 2 seats.

Can I fly when I am pregnant?

Yes, restrictions for flying while pregnant are no different than in any commercial airliner. We have had many pregnant women in the past that have flown with us. We always recommend checking with your doctor prior to booking.

Can we go anywhere else besides the tour you have listed?

Absolutely! We can plan any custom tour and take you anywhere that you would like to go. Just ensure that you have booked the entire helicopter for the correct duration!

If I occasionally suffer from motion sickness, will I be ok on a helicopter?

Most people that suffer from motion sickness do quite well in a helicopter. While no two people are alike, and the weather conditions of the day can play a huge factor. We recommend taking some motion discomfort products to ensure your fullest enjoyment.
